Step 2: Submit Your Application to the State of Michigan

Once you have your certificate of completion, go to www.michigan.gov/icola to submit your application. You will be asked to create an account, pay the license fee, and electronically submit your application. If you have chosen a broker to work under, you will also be asked to provide their 10 digit number. You do not need to have a broker before you apply or take the test. If you are still without a broker when you take and pass the test, the State of Michigan will hold your license in a pending status for up to 1 year.
